Michigan: Judges forces recall of Wayne Councilman on to May ballot

After more than a month of waiting, a Circuit Court Judge forced a recall of Councilman Chris Sanders onto the May primary ballot over his vote to move elections to even numbered years. Petitioners handed in about 1400 signatures, they got 1281 verified, and they needed 1183. But the Clerk allegedly wouldn't issue a call for the recall election to be held. Petitions against three other officials failed to get enough signatures.
